Bamboo is an incredible product! It is 16% harder than maple wood, 1/3 lighter in weight than oak and is strong as steel. Bamboo is a grass that grows to a harvestable height of between three and five feet. After harvesting, bamboo does not require replanting because there is an extensive root system that continually sends up new shoots, making it one of the most naturally renewable resources known. With bamboo, no old growth forests are destroyed.
